On a hot summer week in July 2020, Paul McMahon--accompanied by Luke Reddick and Ryan McKeever--convened in Stone Ridge, New York to record a new set of songs Paul had been saving just in case there was a worldwide pandemic and he had some time on his hands.
McMahon, a resident of Woodstock, would handle his tracking during the day at Three Phase Center, who granted the space to be used for recording and lodging for Ryan and Luke, who were both living in Washington, DC at the time.
When the sun went down and Paul went home, Ryan and Luke would stay up, fueled by Busch Light and whatever they'd cook on Three Phase Center's hot plate. In the morning, Ryan would shower with the hose and the entire process would begin again.
After several days, many beers, and occasional trips to the swimming hole, Ryan and Luke took the recordings back to DC where additional tracking occurred.
Three and a half years later, the final product from these sessions has arrived.
